Relational Database (RDB) is a collection of data derived from different databases and are connected through the relative terms. They basically help in building connectivity between the databases based on the data required. The data can be stored in any form such as tables, reports or columns. This will also assist in organizing and strategizing the data in such a manner that the user can easily search for it and find relevant information.

These databases use SQL (Structured Query Language) which is a user application which acts as an easy programming interface for the interaction between the databases.RDBs are made up of tables which is nothing but a relation and each table contains several data columns. Each row will have a corresponding data column. Each database will have several such relational connections. There are various categories of relational databases. The data is assembled in a variety of means making it highly feasible for the firm.

  1. One to one: record of one table corresponds to another record in a different table.
  2. One to many: one table record connects to several records in another table.
  3. Many to one: many records from different tables connect to one record in a single table.
  4. Many to many: many records from different table relate to many records.
