10 Best Anti-fraud Software Solutions of 2026 (Features & Price)

Last updated on by Editorial Staff
Anti-fraud Software

Fraud can hurt any business, even small ones. It can cause money losses and damage your reputation. Protect your business from fraud by being aware of it and staying prepared.

Investing in anti-fraud software is one way to protect your business from fraud. These solutions can help you to identify and mitigate risks, monitor transactions for suspicious activity, and investigate suspected fraud.

The hard part is not catching fraud. Any tool can catch fraud by declining everything. The hard part is catching fraud without declining good customers, and false declines cost most merchants more than fraud does. That trade-off, not the feature list, is what separates these products.

This page covers ten anti-fraud products, what each actually does, who owns it, and what it costs where the vendor publishes a figure. Prices were re-checked against each vendor’s own site in August 2026. Where a vendor no longer publishes a price, or blocks us from reading it, we say so rather than repeating an old number as if it were current.

What is anti-fraud software, and why do you need it?

Anti-fraud software is a type of software that helps businesses prevent fraud. Fraud can take many forms, such as financial fraud, identity theft, or even data breaches.

Unfortunately, it can be incredibly costly for businesses in terms of direct economic loss and damage to reputation. That’s why it’s so important to have a good anti-fraud solution.

Types of anti-fraud software

Many types of anti-fraud software are available, each with its strengths and weaknesses. Some of the most popular options include:

Different Types Of Anti-fraud Software
  • Chargeback guarantee providers. They approve or decline each order and take the financial liability: if they approve a transaction that turns out to be fraud, they reimburse the chargeback. You are buying an outcome, not a score. Priced as a percentage of approved order value.
  • Risk scoring and decision platforms. They return a score or a decision and leave the liability with you. More flexible and usually cheaper, but you own the losses and you staff the manual review queue. Priced per check, per transaction or per seat.
  • Bot and automated-attack management. These sit in front of the site and stop credential stuffing, scraping, card testing and account takeover before a transaction exists. They are not payment fraud tools and do not replace one.
  • AML and financial crime compliance. Transaction monitoring, sanctions screening and regulatory reporting for banks, credit unions and casinos. Driven by a regulator, not by chargebacks.
  • Wire and payment redirection fraud. Narrow, high-value protection for funds transfers, mostly in real estate and title work, where a single diverted wire can be six figures.

These five categories are not substitutes for one another, which is the single most common mistake in an anti-fraud shortlist. Comparing a chargeback guarantee provider with a bot manager on price is comparing an insurance policy with a firewall. The table below places all ten products, so you can compare like with like.

Terms worth knowing before a demo. A false decline (or false positive) is a legitimate order you rejected, and for most merchants these outnumber real fraud by a wide margin. Friendly fraud is a genuine customer disputing a genuine purchase. Card-not-present fraud covers online transactions where the card is never physically checked. Account takeover is a criminal using the real customer’s login. Synthetic identity fraud stitches real and fake details into a person who does not exist. Ask every vendor for its false decline rate, not just its catch rate, and ask who pays when it is wrong.

1. Signifyd

Signifyd sells Guaranteed Fraud Protection, and the guarantee is the point. It decides each order and assumes the chargeback liability on the orders it approves, so a fraudulent approval becomes Signifyd’s loss rather than yours. That shifts the conversation from catch rates to approval rates, and it is why merchants tend to measure it on revenue recovered from orders a rules engine would have declined rather than on fraud blocked.

It is trusted by the companies like Samsung, Walmart, eBay, Lacoste, Wish, and more.

User opinion

This cloud-based platform is well-trusted worldwide. It uses AI-driven smart tools to identify fraud, keep track of transactions, efficiently onboard customers, useable insights, and more to initiate intelligent, cost-effective, and secure decisions.

3. SEON

SEON (styled in capitals by the vendor) is a risk scoring platform built around digital footprint analysis: it takes an email address, phone number and device, then checks them against social and web signals to judge whether the person behind them looks real. That approach makes it unusually effective at spotting synthetic identities and throwaway accounts at signup, before any transaction happens. It leaves the liability with you.

In addition, it also provides more than 50 digital and social media lookups. The software is used by albo, Fairmoney, Carbon, Revolut, niyo, and AirFrance.

Features

  • Tailored industry rules
  • Social media lookups
  • Precise risk scores
  • Behavior analytics
  • Email analysis
  • Device fingerprinting
  • Machine learning
  • API integration

Pricing

SEON is one of the few vendors in this category that publishes a price at all. Figures below are from SEON’s own pricing page as of August 2026, and the Starter tier has risen since the screenshot below was taken.

  • Free – two users and 500 manual checks per month, at no cost.
  • Starter$699 per month (up from $599), covering 2,500 fraud checks per month, platform and API access, 10 users and 50 custom rules.
  • Premium – custom priced, with unlimited fraud checks.

Note the billing unit, because it is the part that decides your bill: SEON meters fraud checks, not seats. A 10-user team running 40,000 checks a month is not a Starter customer no matter how few logins it has.

5. Kount, an Equifax company

Ownership matters here more than with any other entry on this list. Kount was acquired by Equifax in a $640m deal announced on 8 January 2021 and closed that quarter, and kount.com now redirects to Equifax. Equifax kept the Kount name after review rather than absorbing it, so you are buying a Kount-branded product backed by a credit bureau’s identity data. If your procurement or risk team has a view on Equifax as a data processor, that view now applies to this purchase.

The platform has also moved on. Current sales are on Kount 360, and Equifax folded its 2022 acquisition Midigator into Kount to add chargeback management and representment, so dispute handling now sits alongside prevention. Kount uses machine learning across a large cross-merchant network and counts Samsung, HP, Staples, Petsmart and Chase among its published customers.

Features

  • Account takeover protection
  • Digital identity verification
  • Bot detection
  • Dispute and Chargeback management
  • Reports and analytics

Pricing

Kount publishes no prices, and quotes are built from your transaction volume and the modules you take. The three product names below are the legacy Kount packaging, still widely quoted online and still useful for understanding what the modules do, but current sales are on the consolidated Kount 360 platform. Ask which of these capabilities your quote actually includes, because they were once priced separately.

  • Kount Command – digital fraud prevention and transaction scoring for merchants.
  • Kount Control – account takeover protection and adaptive authentication.
  • Kount Central – built for payment providers and platforms scoring on behalf of their own merchants.

To get the pricing details of each model, you need to request a custom quote by filling out a form on its official site.

Likes

  • The software allows you to approve, hold, or decline transactions automatically.
  • Its artificial intelligence capabilities provide fraud detection and hence reduce fraud costs.
  • Flawless integration
  • The cost per transaction is much less
  • Easy to use

Dislikes

  • The user interface is not intuitive
  • Downloading reports with more data will be slow
  • Difficult to set up initially
  • The reporting part needs to improve
  • Implementation is complicated
  • Not able to download linked order

  • Health and beauty
  • Healthcare
  • Online learning
  • Online gaming

With an agenda to stop cyber attacks and propagate trusted business, Arkose Labs aims to reduce bot attacks, decrease customer friction, and save on cyber security losses. They offer solutions for credential stuffing, account takeovers, and many more.

7. CertifID

CertifID (spelled with a capital D by the vendor) is the most specialised product on this list, and it is not a general anti-fraud platform. It exists to stop wire fraud and payment redirection in property transactions, where a criminal intercepts closing instructions and diverts the buyer’s funds. It verifies the identity of the parties and the bank details before money moves, and it insures qualifying transfers.

That focus is the reason to consider it and the reason to rule it out. If you are a title agency, law firm or lender moving large sums on emailed instructions, nothing else here addresses that risk. If you are an e-commerce merchant worried about chargebacks, it solves a problem you do not have.

Webpage of CertifID

Features

  • Identity validation
  • Bank account confirmation
  • Secure transfer of wiring information
  • Direct insurance for businesses
  • Money protection plan
  • Fraud recovery service

Pricing

CertifID has withdrawn its published pricing. There is no longer a pricing page on certifid.com, and the tiers below, captured in the screenshot on this page, are kept for reference only. Do not budget from them.

  • Starter (historical) – $150 per month plus $10 per transaction, aimed at smaller firms.
  • Professional (historical) – $250 per month plus $10 per transaction.
  • Enterprise – quoted, for larger teams across multiple offices.

The structure is worth understanding even though the numbers are stale, because a platform fee plus a per-transaction charge means your real cost tracks closing volume. When you request a quote, ask what the per-transaction fee is and what transfer size the included insurance actually covers.

Pricing

We could not verify DataDome’s current pricing, and we are not going to guess it. DataDome’s pricing page blocks automated access, which is unsurprising for a bot-management vendor, so the figures below could not be re-checked at the source. Independent listings no longer describe Business, Corporate and Enterprise tiers at these rates. Treat the numbers below as historical.

  • Business (historical) – $4,590 per month, or $3,490 per month billed annually.
  • Corporate (historical) – $8,090 per month, or $6,190 per month billed annually.
  • Enterprise (historical) – $10,690 per month, or $8,190 per month billed annually.

What has not changed is the shape of the bill. DataDome is priced on consumption, meaning the volume of requests it inspects each month across your web, mobile and API traffic, plus which of those channels you protect. Before comparing quotes, count your monthly request volume by channel, since that number, not a plan name, determines the price.

This platform by DataDome is lucid, simple to implement, and frictionless for customers. They offer user-friendly and secure solutions for your mobile apps, APIs, and websites against account takeover, server overload, card cracking, credential stuffing, and many others.

9. Alessa

Alessa is the AML and financial crime compliance entry on this list rather than a merchant fraud tool, and that distinction decides whether it belongs on your shortlist at all. It serves banks, credit unions, casinos, fintechs and mortgage lenders with transaction monitoring, sanctions and watchlist screening, enhanced due diligence, regulatory reporting and continuous controls monitoring. Its buyer is usually a compliance officer answering to a regulator, not a merchant counting chargebacks.

Ownership has changed twice and neither hop is obvious from the product name. Alessa began as the financial crime product of CaseWare RCM, which rebranded it to Alessa. It was then acquired by Tier1 Financial Solutions in January 2021, and on 24 June 2025 it was acquired by Valsoft Corporation, a Canadian acquirer of vertical market software, as Valsoft’s entry into the RegTech market. Alessa now reports over 180 client organisations across more than 20 countries. Older reviews and comparison sites still describe it as a CaseWare product, so check which entity your contract is actually with.

FAQs

How to choose the right anti-fraud software for your business?

Choosing the right anti-fraud software for your business can be a challenge. There are many factors to consider, such as the size of your business, the type of fraud you’re most at risk for, and your budget. However, there are a few general tips that can help:

Ensure the software is easy to use: You don’t need to spend hours figuring out how to use the software. Instead, look for something user-friendly and intuitive.

Make sure the software is customizable: Every business is different, so you need to make sure the software can be customized to fit your specific needs.

Ensure the software is affordable: Don’t break the bank on anti-fraud software. There are many great options available at a variety of price points.

What are the benefits of using anti-fraud software?

There are many benefits to using anti-fraud software, such as:

Reduced fraud losses: This is perhaps the most obvious benefit. By using anti-fraud software, you can reduce the amount of money your business loses to fraud.

Improved reputation: Fraud can damage your business’s reputation. Using anti-fraud software can help protect your business’s good name.

Peace of mind: Anti-fraud software can give you peace of mind knowing that your business is protected from fraud.

Conclusion

Choose by category first, then by vendor. If you sell online and want the losses off your books, a chargeback guarantee from Signifyd or ClearSale converts an unpredictable fraud line into a percentage of revenue, and the guarantee is what you are paying for. If you would rather keep control and the liability, SEON, Sift, Fraud.net and Kount 360 give you the score and leave the decision with you, with SEON the only one publishing an entry price. If your problem arrives before checkout as credential stuffing, scraping or card testing, that is DataDome or Arkose Labs, and neither replaces a payment fraud tool. If a regulator is asking the questions, you need Alessa. If you move large sums on emailed instructions, you need CertifID.

Two things to carry into every demo. Ask for the false decline rate alongside the catch rate, because a tool that blocks all fraud by rejecting good customers is a more expensive problem than the one it solved, and ask precisely who absorbs the loss when a decision is wrong. And check the corporate paperwork: two of the ten here are owned by companies whose names never appear on the product, with Kount now part of Equifax and Alessa acquired by Valsoft in June 2025.
